Hologram Hand is my very first attempt to film and edit a video for a holographic pyramid for smart devices.
I was reading about digital performances and the early introduction of holograms on stage during the past century and I couldn’t help making a practical experiment myself.
For the ones not familiar with holograms, a very easy way to produce an hologram from personal smart devices is to place a pyramid of clear plastic at the centre of the screen, start a hologram video (like the one above) full-screen and watch it through one of the sides of the pyramid.
As a result, the four images will combine in a 3D hologram floating into the pyramid.
Despite it being a very simple little project, it was great fun to make and watch. If you have any thoughts or ideas for further hologram projects feel welcome to share them!
